Inspired by some of my fellow bloggers, here are one hundred things you may or may not know about me. (OK, there's not yet 100... I'm working on it!)

In no particular order.

  1. I am glad to be a woman.
  2. I love to watch my children eat.
  3. I grew up in the suburbs of Northern Virginia.
  4. But I always wanted to live in Boston.
  5. I had a pet chicken when I was in the second grade.
  6. When I was little, I loved to visit the woman who lived across the street from my grandparents because she had the most amazing drawer full of buttons.
  7. In high school, I lettered in Debate.
  8. My mother and I moved 6 times in 10 years while I was in school, all in the same town.
  9. I've moved 9 more times since then (16 years, three states, and two countries).
  10. I hate moving.
  11. I like to press buttons.
  12. I only listen to music in the car.
  13. And then I sing along and I don't care who knows it!
  14. I love to say the word lemony.
  15. I am very neat.
  16. I used to think that my favorite color was green.
  17. Then I thought it was blue.
  18. But now I'm beginning to suspect that it's purple.
  19. I love snow.
  20. I only feel comfortable visiting countries where I can speak the language.
  21. I can only speak English and German.
  22. I watch way too much tv.
  23. I am distracted during commercials by trying to figure out what celebrity is doing the voice-over.
  24. This leads me to ask the obvious questions, such as, "Is Richard Dreyfus' voice really supposed to inspire me to buy an SUV?" and "Christian Slater and Panasonic - whaaa?"
  25. I don't like to use keystrokes when I can use the mouse instead.
  26. I tend to lose pens.
  27. My birthday is the fourth of July.
  28. My children were born on Bastille Day.
  29. And my husband's birthday is Cinco de Mayo.
  30. I hate making left turns.
  31. No really. I'll replan my trip to avoid them.
  32. I like to use lovely as an adverb - e.g.: You did that lovelyly.
  33. My favorite Winnie the Pooh character is Piglet.
  34. I think that cell phones have become way too small.
  35. And cars have become way too big.
  36. I have a small car and a large cell phone.
  37. I have to force myself not to wear white every day.
  38. I have to force myself to eat vegetables every day.
  39. But I drink a lot of milk.
  40. I have an autograph from Famous Amos, the cookie guy.
  41. I still sing Schoolhouse Rock and Free to be You and Me songs to myself when I'm alone.
  42. I have a very sensitive nose and am often bothered by the smell when the person in the car in front of me is smoking.
  43. I don't enjoy running.
  44. But I like swimming.
  45. I always wished that I had red hair.
  46. Despite having seen them about a million times each, I'm always willing to watch "While You Were Sleeping" and "Never Been Kissed" again on cable.
