But who am I, you ask?

Ahhh, a very philosophical question.

My name is Alison Hansel. I am a Ph.D. candidate at Boston College, in the Philosophy Department (check out my favorite philosophers at philosophers' field). I taught the freshman philosophy course at BC for several years (the origin of my freshman writings page) and now am a more or less stay at home mother of twins (see our baby pictures). During my studies, I lived for two years in Munich, Germany where I met my husband. I really enjoyed living in Germany (see my germany pages), but am really at home here in Boston. I'm a big reader (check out some recommended reads) and I love to play board games and knit (see the game room and the blue room for details). Finally, I have no fear of having opinions (see the limbo of abandoned brides and backpages for proof), which I hope at least makes for interesting reading.
